Data Sources and Methodology
UK Government Fuel Finder API
Primary data source for all fuel station locations and prices. Published by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). Covers unleaded petrol, premium unleaded, diesel, and premium diesel.
Update frequency
Fuel prices are synced every 10 minutes. Station metadata is refreshed daily. EV charger data (from Open Charge Map) is refreshed daily.
Coverage and filtering
7,000+ fuel stations across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Prices outside the 110-250p/litre range are filtered as data errors. Duplicate stations are merged by location.
